![]() Just when we thought we would see this Winter pass us by without a single flake, the snow decided to hit full force. I’m usually a sucker for a good snow. I love seeing everything covered in white.
I love building snowmen with the kids, sledding down the hill, and enjoying a little bit of downtime from the hectic pace life usually brings on a daily basis. As with a lot of small southern towns ours completely shuts down during snow, so you really have no choice but to stay at home. I guess you could also say I’m the typical southerner who gets all excited to see the snow, but I want it gone within a couple of days. I definitely wouldn’t do well if we lived up North. As much as I love snow I’m not happy about our current snow situation. We’ve got 3″ covering our yard with another 4-8″ on it’s way tomorrow night. Normally I would be jumping up and down at the thought of inches and inches of the stuff, but normally I’m not cooped up in a house full of sick people. Snow + stomach viruses = very very bad I’m thankful my oldest hasn’t been subjected to the sickness. If she couldn’t get outside to play in our one snowstorm of the year I would never hear the end of it. Unfortunately my husband, my little one, and myself haven’t been so lucky. Being locked up inside for so many days with so many germs has me on Lysol overload. I’m spraying, I’m scrubbing, I’m mopping…repeatedly. So parents, how do you do it? How do you keep germs from spreading when you’re stuck inside for an extended period of time? Feel free to comment with your tips and secrets!
