There isn’t much I love more than books, and I enjoy passing my love of reading to my girls. I’m very happy my 5 year old loves reading just as much as I do, and we spend at least 30 minutes each night reading together. A new book was recently added to her collection, Have I Told You Today How Much I Love You? by Cheryl Sturm. Cheryl Sturm originally wrote this fun children’s book as a way to express her love for her nieces and nephews. The book takes the measurement of love beyond an arm’s stretch, and puts it into perspective based on actual measurements while reinforcing love. From an inch to miles, the book shows children measurements then relates each measurement to actual items the child will recognize. For example, an inch is illustrated on a rule then the child is shown pictures of a quarter, macaroni noodles, and strawberries as items that “are about one inch” to show relation. Then comes the question “Do I love you this much?”, no more! My 5 year old really enjoys reading this little book, and it is quickly becoming a bedtime favorite. She is quick to point out other objects she sees around the room that are similar in size to the measurement we are reading, and she yells out “you love me more”! I recommend Have I Told You Today How Much I Love You? to anyone with young children. It’s a fun book to read, educational, and expresses out infinite love truly is. Have I Told You Today How Much I Love You? is available via Amazon in paperback and Kindle formats. The post Have I Told You Today How Much I Love You?
